Personalized Yoga
Personalized Yoga for Back Pain, Slipped Disc & Common Health Conditions
Every body is different, and yoga practice should be adapted according to an individual's condition, mobility, comfort level and goals.
In my personal yoga classes, I work with clients through carefully selected movements, breathing practices, relaxation techniques and gradual progression.

How Personalized Yoga Supported My Client With a Slipped Disc
Every client requires a different approach. A yoga sequence that works well for one person may not be appropriate for another. For this client, the focus was on creating a gentle and progressive practice rather than forcing difficult postures.
The Challenge
The client was experiencing discomfort associated with a slipped disc and had limitations with certain movements.
Instead of immediately introducing demanding yoga postures, we started with comfortable movements, relaxation and gentle mobility.
The goal was to gradually improve movement confidence, body awareness and physical comfort while avoiding movements that aggravated symptoms.
Results After 3 Months
After three months of consistent personalized practice, the client reported improvement in overall movement and comfort.
The practice was progressed gradually, with exercises modified whenever a movement caused discomfort.
The biggest focus throughout the program was not forcing the body into difficult postures, but developing consistency, comfortable movement, body awareness and gradual progression.

A Personalized Approach to Every Client
Yoga is not about forcing your body into a particular shape.
It is about understanding your body, practicing with awareness and gradually developing strength, mobility, flexibility and relaxation.
Every person's starting point is different. That's why personal yoga sessions can be adapted according to your experience, comfort and individual goals.
Important Note
Yoga can support mobility, relaxation, strength and overall wellbeing, but it should not be considered a replacement for medical diagnosis or treatment.
If you have a diagnosed medical condition, severe pain, recent injury, numbness, tingling, weakness or other concerning symptoms, consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or modifying your yoga practice.
Always practice within a comfortable range and stop any movement that causes or increases pain or other symptoms.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can yoga help with lower back pain?
Gentle and appropriately modified yoga practices may support mobility, strength, relaxation and body awareness for some people with lower back discomfort. The appropriate exercises depend on the individual's condition and should not aggravate symptoms.
Can I practice yoga with a slipped disc?
Some people may be able to practice appropriately modified yoga, but a slipped disc requires an individualized approach. Movements that increase pain, numbness, tingling or other symptoms should be avoided, and professional medical guidance should be considered.
Is personalized yoga better than group yoga?
Personalized yoga allows the sequence, pace and modifications to be adapted to the individual. Whether one-to-one or group practice is appropriate depends on the person's goals, experience and needs.
How long does it take to see improvement with yoga?
Results vary from person to person and depend on factors such as consistency, starting condition, lifestyle and the type of practice. There is no guaranteed timeline.
Can beginners join personal yoga classes?
Yes. Personal sessions can be adapted for beginners and can start with simple movements, breathing and relaxation practices before gradually progressing.
Can yoga help with stress and anxiety?
Gentle yoga, breathing practices and relaxation techniques may support relaxation and overall wellbeing. Yoga should not replace professional mental-health care when it is needed.
